A Picture is Worth a Thousand Words

My Project

The students in this class are compassionate and thoughtful of one another. Through many community circles and discussions, we have really grown within ourselves and with each other. Due to COVID-19, students had to learn from home which impacted their social awareness and how to interact with their peers. Through picture books, we have had many conversations about who we are and how we can make an impact in our homes, school and community. It makes me happy to see them get excited when we begin reading a picture book.
