My Students

Each day my students are exchanged in many activities that I would like to capture! Whether it be singing a song to remember their continents and oceans or being creative by building a tower with cups or making objects with plastic connecting toys, these are definitely memorable moments!

Even though we are a Title 1 school with over 50% on free and reduced lunches, my students love to be engaged in activities and work hard.

They have wonderful personalities and truly make teaching enjoyable. Being creative and showing their humorous side is essential to make learning fun. Our classroom is using Whole Brain which allows students to be engaged and active in learning. Students are talking, using hand motions, and teaching concepts to their peers in hopes of retaining the information!

My Project

Having a camcorder/camera will allow me to capture all the wonderful moments that occur in and outside the classroom. Usually, I take many pictures and display them in the hallway where student work is also displayed. I have been unable to do this lately because I no longer have a working camera. With the camcorder, I would be able to record students performing skits, songs, and teaching concepts that could be shared with their peers. The pictures would be important in giving students an opportunity to discuss and revisit activities and concepts!

Learning requires engagement by the students and having a camcorder/camera will provide even more opportunities for them to get involved in learning in an exciting and fun way.

Students need to receive information in a variety of ways so learning does not become boring or ordinary.
