A Perfect Little Powerhouse for Processing!

Help me give my students a little bit more computing power than Chromebooks can give- Including the ability to explore options for processing and creating 3D models, animation, making and editing movies run simulation software, create and explore!

My Project

I have personally (through my own funds and private donations-including the amazing DonorsChoose community) provided all of the Chromebooks currently used in our classroom. While we are maintaining, there are some things that Chromebooks just can't do that would require a step up in computing. For this reason, our classroom would like the affordable and powerful Macbook Air.

The Macbook Air is an easy to use little powerhouse that would let us do so much more!

Students could create 3D models and process them for printing in one machine. They can use free software to create and edit movies and music soundtracks. They can engage with more AR and VR content (and create their own worlds to experience!). It would also be a great addition to our small set of iPads allowing seamless sharing of data, video, and results that we use them for in labs, via Apple's AirDrop.
