Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

I teach a group of dynamic first graders. This year, they have been exploring the art of paragraph writing, fueled by their vibrant imaginations. However, some are encountering challenges translating their creative ideas onto paper due to limited fine motor skills. I'm eager to integrate these pencil grips into our classroom toolkit, as they'll empower students to gain better control over their pencils. By enhancing their motor skills, we aim to unlock their full potential for self-expression and communication. Additionally, I've added clear bins to organize writing prompts for small group instruction, ensuring each student has access to their own collection of prompts. These resources are essential in facilitating effective learning experiences tailored to each student's needs.
