This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our school has been working to expand our extracurricular options for students to explore interests outside the classroom. I am the proud staff advisor for the Fashion Design Club, where students get to explore a variety of projects related to fashion and accessorizing. We need some new materials for the second semester! Students are curious about button making to express their individuality, want to learn new skills in knitting and crocheting and enjoy making bracelets and charms to share with friends and families. This club is one of the most joyful parts of my week and I am excited to keep the fun going this semester!
