A Novel in Every Hand

Help me give my students enough copies of The Lightning Thief so all students will have their own to study.

My Project

Students read best with their own copy of a novel in their hands. When I teach a novel study, I send home a copy with each child for them to figure out when and where they enjoy reading the most. This inspires them to pursue the joy of reading independently, beyond classroom assignments.

The more copies I have available, the more access my students will have to pursue a love of reading.

Beyond reading stamina, students who study novels hone their skills in inferencing, using context clues to define unknown words, and character development. With a wide variety and enough copies for everyone, there is certainly a novel that each student will enjoy!
