This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
This is a novel that will not only be a wonderful choice for students to incorporate into their AP essays, but also one that will resonate with students as they are about to leave high school and need reassurences about the world ahead of them.
In class, students will discuss as well as write on the novel.
They will also do a full-group project on the power of resileince. It's rare that students have a chance to read a novel that can take them on such a journey of empathy and how to overcome harsh realities..
