My Project

In our classroom, we have been hatching eggs for 6 years. I have been fortunate to have the same incubator the whole time but it is starting to lose its efficacy. We need a new incubator and some new texts to keep this lesson going for years to come.

Hatching eggs is something that engages my students in school.

My students become inquisitive little people who want to learn all about not just chickens but all animals. They use their curiosity to become animal researchers and non-fiction authors. This unit also offers them an experience and a memory that they may not otherwise have.
