Help me give my students a comfortable and clean area for learning in my room! I needed a new listening center too for when we are teaching our ELA block (literacy centers- independent reading/daily 5).

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
It's pretty hard to summarize why I love my students, and to narrow down the reasons why they are the best in the world, but I can try to give a few examples to help you understand how we are in each others' hearts long after the school day has ended and far beyond the walls of our classroom.
"Can you teach first grade next year so that you can still be my teacher?
"I wish that we could spend another year together, but a new group of friends will need my help next year in kindergarten, just like you needed me once too." "I will always need you, Mrs. Wegman. I love you." "And I love you too, no matter where you go. We are a part of each others' hearts and souls now, and nothing can change that." "Yeah, you're like our mom at school- you take care of us."
We are an inner city, high needs, bilingual, community school that prides itself on building relationships with our students and their families that support the whole child/family, and go beyond traditional lines. We are breaking the mold and changing an entire community, and we intend to keep going!
My Project
We currently have a large classroom rug that we use to be together for whole group instruction, circle/morning meeting time, resting, and relaxing, and reading (among other activities). This is really the center/heart of our room, and we wouldn't be able to teach and learn in an age appropriate manner if we didn't have it. You see, in our kindergarten classrooms, students don't use traditional desks. We have group tables for center work and some independent tasks, but mainly we use our carpet for all other activities and lessons.
The rug we have now is at least eight years old, and has seen better days (think "I waited too long to use the bathroom", and "My tummy doesn't feel so good" from the last eight years of being in a kindergarten classroom).
It was generously given to us by one of our loyal community partnerships, and we have made every effort to preserve the cleanliness and quality of it. However, you can only shampoo a rug like that so many times before it starts to (literally) fall apart.
I could never afford to replace this rug with my annual classroom allowance/budget, nor could I purchase something this big and expensive on my own salary. Please help me provide a comfortable and clean area for learning in my room!
