This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I work at a Title I school in Nevada. Our school was one of the schools that got hit with budget cuts and more than half of the students are from low-income families. The school is able to offer 100% of our students free breakfast and lunch. As a teacher, I will like to help my grade level and myself with obtaining read-aloud books for our ELA distance learning classes!

My Project

My students are in need of new books. I have a small library and with COVID-19 restrictions I need to put books away for 7 days. Therefore, it causes a shortage in my library. I would like to provide my students will more books and provide more opportunities to read different books. Additionally, I have 2 flexible seats that I will use as soon as the restrictions are lifted it. Students will use those seats as a prize when they earn enough points throughout the day. Please help me have fun with this project!
