This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My title one school is adding a TK classroom for the upcoming school year 2023-2024. I’ll be coming down from teaching 3rd grade so I need to create a developmentally appropriate TK classroom.

Creative play is a huge part of transitional kindergarten.

Four year olds need a play area with a kitchen and kitchen toys.

Students will get to participate in creative and dramatic play daily as they learn skills and grow together.

Many of our students don’t have the means to purchase play kitchens so it will be an incentive to come to school.
