This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
As a teacher in a low-income/high poverty school district, I serve students who are faced with many challenges both in and out of the classroom. Despite the many challenges they face, I want to provide my students with engaging learning experiences.
Many of them are being raised in single-parent households and receive free lunch based on their socioeconomic status.
From the minute they walk in the door of my classroom, I focus on their potential and growth while they are with me. I may not be able to control their home lives; however, I can certainly control their experiences during the school day.
My students are loving, empathetic, caring and extremely hardworking. They deserve the absolute best and I hope you will consider partnering with me to ensure they have what they need to succeed in education and beyond.
My Project
Children live in a world full of technology and color. With this project my students will get a new printer to use in the classroom. Our current printer is beginning to have problems due to being several years old. The new printer will allow us to print copies and pictures in color. The printer will also allow us to copy and scan to the computer. The printer I am asking for uses liquid ink instead of cartridges, which will significantly take away the ink expense.
My students will benefit from the printer by having various work in color.
The printer will allow us to print our work and pictures to use for learning. Help us to enter the world of technology and print our work.
