A New Pollinator Garden

Help me give my students seeds, gloves, and books to create a bigger and better pollinator garden!

My Project

We have a pollinator garden as part of our outdoor classroom, but we would like to create more around campus as well. This will not only be more colorful and beautiful but also bring more bees and butterflies to other parts of campus. The students will work together with students from other classes in this school Community Service project that can potentially benefit the entire school. We will need seeds, gloves, water hoses, and books about creating pollinator gardens to guide us through this project.

Creating a school-wide pollinator garden project will enable my students to teach others what they know about planting pollinator plants and their many benefits.

We hope to create this new pollinator garden near the native Hawaiian garden another teacher is putting in, and working with those students to bring more beauty onto our campus. Collaboration between our classes and students will also be grounds for a more successful community service project that we could continue to do for many years to come.
