A New Place to Sit

My students need a new place to sit. The current rug in my room was there before I even got there and was already showing a lot of wear and tear.

My Students

I'm going into my second year as a music teacher. My kids go to a Title I school and come from some not always such great backgrounds.

Some of my kids can seem rough around the edges, but they're the ones who need the most love and I'm ready to give it.

Music is my passion and I can't wait to give the gift of music to my kids. I hope to have them experience every form of music, new and old.

My Project

I would love to have a new rug for my students. The current one I have is torn and stained and looks like it has seen better days.

I would like this new rug to help teach some ownership of new things as well as provide more organization within the class.

These colored rows will provide just a little bit more consistency for the kids that they so desperately need.

I believe that with a brand new rug I can teach them about how to take care of things when they are given to them and to take pride in keeping it looking nice.
