Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
A new library dedicated to encourage and inspire readers.
As a new specialized academic instructor I want to provide my students with books not only at their reading level but also with a variety of interests to encourage in their reading but which will also make them feel successful in their reading journey.
The specific book sets I chose are of various interests for my students to explore and can be used as encouragement during their reading time.
The students I work with are sometimes at least 2 grade levels behind their peers and finding books that are not only at their reading levels but also in genres they enjoy will benefit them greatly.
My goal is for my students to find books they enjoy that will inspire and motivate their reading growth. I want my students to bloom into book worms and maybe someday book dragons.
