A New Laptop for Learning in Full Day Kindergarten
Help me give my students a new laptop so we can continue to use technology in our classroom. My iPad is old and doesn't work well, so a laptop will aid in my instruction. We will all benefit.

My Project
I teach Full Day Kindergarten to a group of very enthusiastic and incredibly active students. Our school is a wonderful place full of many caring teachers and supportive parents. My students look forward to school and they enjoy learning and sharing ideas with other students. We use technology in our class on a daily basis. I use many apps to help support my instruction. They love having another way of learning. I can also use the laptop to project read aloud books which is a fun way to listen to popular stories and allow my students another voice to listen too. I can also project pictures that I've taken through out the year to show them. They love looking back at pictures.
STEM is the way of the future!
Students of this generation are immersed in their devices. They love video games and spend most of their time challenging their friends or strangers through technology. Having a laptop will allow my students to continue to learn through apps and programs that I can project through my apple TV device. I like to use this tool to add to my students learning and instruct math concepts, reading and yoga.
My students will also have the ability to use the laptop to play on math, and reading apps with their peers. We no longer have a computer lab at our school, so this will give them an opportunity to practice and use a keyboard and a mouse while using the laptop. They can also use the laptop to watch mystery science videos, type simple stories that I can print, and practice sharing and taking turns with each other.
Having a laptop that works will help in this instruction for my students. We hope you will help make a difference in our classroom
