TK students are experiencing elementary school for the first time.
The classroom carpet is an essential part of the classroom. This is the place where they learn to sit, stay focused and being to learn how to concentrate when the teacher is talking. It is the heart of the classroom.
My Project
My students attend a school where Title 1 funding is not available so we as teachers must supplement by finding ways to help them get the required materials. Anyone who has ever been in a classroom knows that the class carpet is the meeting spot for any young class. It's where the kids feel safe, share their feelings, and learn new and exciting ideas.
