Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

This year I am teaching a K-2 classroom instead of Social Skills and the majority of my students are diagnosed with autism. They are predominantly visual/tactile learners with varying skill sets and benefit from materials that support their learning styles. Although I have an assortment of adapted materials to address their social goals, I am in need of materials to support other domains such as math, reading, writing and life skills.

Teachers Pay Teachers offers a vast variety of adapted books, file folder and task boxes activities, worksheets and visual/behavioral support that cater to the diverse needs of my students.

Having Teachers Pay Teachers gift cards will enable me to purchase an abundance of tasks and materials that range in difficulty from simple color matching to filling in missing letters from words. Many of the activities are already adapted and only require, printing, laminating, and placing hook and loop coins to make them interactive and ready for use during one-to one and group learning .
