This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are sweet, welcoming, kind and caring. They are always willing to help each other as much as possible and love to celebrate each other’s achievements. This pandemic has been a positive learning experience for us in many ways.
However, it has also created a lot of hardships for them and safety concerns.
The pandemic has left them with very little resources to start off the 2020-2021 school year. My students already struggled financially before the pandemic and now the struggle has become even greater. All of my students are considered at risk due to their low social economic status.
A lot of the parents are hardly able to afford the basic needs and do not the funds to provide the things my students need.
My Project
The materials I am requesting for my students would positively impact their education not just for distant learning but also when we return to school in person. There are many resources available for me to create interactive and engaging lessons for my students. However, due to the lack of technology it is difficult for them to participate in these lessons.
Having these cases would allow us to keep our newly funded tablets safe and clean.
The cases would allow my students to take good care of the tablets. Helping our tablets lasts for a long time.
