My students need equipment to be active and stimulate learning, as well as snacks to stay alert and meet needs.

My Students
Giving my students the best chance at succeeding and enjoying it.
I teach in a Learning Center.
My students each have a disability that makes it difficult for them to participate in learning in the general classroom. They also often have difficulties learning the academic material. Learning Centers are designed to give them the support they need to be successful in school and life.
My Project
My students will use the equipment to be physically active each day. As we are physically active we will be teaching and learning cooperation skills, math facts, and grammar rules. We will review lessons and work collaboratively. The movement will also help with sensory processing, focus, and mobility.
The snacks will be used to ensure that the students can focus on their learning instead of physical discomfort.
For most of my students, school has not been an enjoyable experience.
They fail more than they succeed. They struggle more than they excel.
Exercise and sustenance will increase student self-confidence. They will improve their brain power. They will enhance their academic performance. And they will boost their love of learning.
More than half of students from low‑income households
