Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
The students in my fourth-grade class are creative and eager to learn, they are kind and supportive of one another and are always there to lend a helping hand to a classmate in need. As an inner-city school, we have students from all different cultures and backgrounds with one goal in common, to become educated.
My goal is to be able to provide the best tools for remote learning for each student in the comfort of their own homes.
I am fortunate enough to be a stepping stone in each of my student's education. They are filled with joy and eagerness each morning ready to start their remote school days especially during the current Pandemic.
My Project
Change happens in school. Together as educators, we can teach students to be empathetic, accepting, and loving of all people. We can also teach them to stand up against racism and make the world we live in a better place. This project will go towards a new selection of diverse books. This project will impact our classroom and our world with an opportunity to display books that invite readers to read and learn together.

I want each of my students to be able to read about a diverse range of characters in our class library. There should be books in which children can see themselves and the diversity of the world.
