Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
In our first-grade classroom, my students are naturally curious and full of questions about the world around them. I work hard to nurture this curiosity through lessons that combine hands-on exploration with meaningful literacy experiences. Whether we’re investigating scientific concepts, solving real-world math problems, or writing stories based on what we’ve learned, technology helps bring our learning to life. Unfortunately, the outdated laptop I currently use is slow and unreliable, which makes it difficult to create and share the engaging, tech-rich lessons my students benefit from the most.
A new MacBook will allow me to design and deliver high-quality materials that support both STEM and literacy instruction.
It will help me create interactive lessons, manage student learning tools, and bring cross-curricular projects to the next level—like combining nonfiction writing with science investigations or integrating math with storytelling.
With a new MacBook, I will be able to design and deliver interactive lessons, multimedia activities, and engaging digital content that capture my students’ interest and support a variety of learning styles. This resource will help my students deepen their understanding of core subjects through technology-rich experiences that build curiosity, creativity, and essential academic skills. It will also make it easier to assess student growth, collaborate with colleagues, and stay connected with families. With this upgrade, I can give my students more consistent access to the kinds of innovative, well-rounded learning experiences that spark curiosity and build strong foundational skills.
