This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are 4 years old and for most of them this is their first school experience. All my students are diverse learners. Some speak other languages besides English at home.

I'm supporting my students with a modern Giant Dollhouse building, furniture, and technology vocabulary.

The opportunity to expose and use English with their peers would make a tremendous impact and difference in language progression. They will continue to develop listening and speaking skills with the use of the dollhouse structure, family member dolls, and furniture exploring role-play dialogue through play. Our Giant Dollhouse will also provide intellectual and social development for my students as it is essential for the TK grade with endless opportunities for vocabulary use, organizing furniture in rooms, and encouraging ideas of what families do in a home.

Our TK classroom is new with a small supply of materials and resources. It is in dire need of meaningful toys to play with for my students. Our school receives very limited funding for new classroom materials and resources every year. Your donation to our class would help to boost my student’s language achievement through the use of a modern structure dollhouse.
