Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I have a classroom full of hard working 2nd . They are all very enthuisatic and eager to learn but unfortunately most of them don't have the means for purchasing computers or internet at home. 100% of my class are Latino students, some English Learners, some students who receive Special Education services and other students who are extremely talented.

It is a pleasure to work in my community where students are motivated to learn and value their education.

The school I work at is located in East Los Angeles. All my students are socio-economically disadvantaged, they all participate in free lunch program at school.

My Project

Having a media cart in my classroom will help me enhance my teaching. Using media engages students, aids student retention of knowledge, motivates interest in the subject matter, and illustrates the relevance of many concepts. It will also allow me to interact with my students better and to provide more entertaining ways to teach and get my lesson objective and facts across. Having a media cart in my classroom will also give me the most valuable space to store my media equipment in one convenient place. It will also allow me to store all my teaching tools I need if I have to move from place to place.
