"When is it my turn?" "I want to go on the computer!" "I reached my goal!"
These are a few things I hear each day in my classroom.
An iPad Mini will help engage my Kindergarten students in learning and motivate them to be successful, lifelong learners.
I teach Kindergarten at a Title 1 elementary school in South Louisiana.
We are in the metro New Orleans area.
I have 20 eager to learn Kindergarteners. My Kindergarten students live near, or below the poverty line. Most do not go home to computers with Internet. They need to be exposed to as much technology as possible to help them develop skills needed for a successful future.
My Project
An iPad Mini will help my students gain confidence in their skills. Our school utilizes Accelerated Reader, Lexia, and IXL to assist in mastery of Common Core standards. All these programs can be easily be accessed anywhere in our classroom with an iPad Mini.
The iPad Mini will be utilized as a center to offer differentiated and engaging instruction to my students.
Your donation would make a huge impact on my students.
I get to see faces light up when I call them for their turn on the computer. I see children happy and successful. I see children cheering each other on when a goal is met on one of the programs. I print each and every certificate for those who reach their goals. This is a huge piece of offering differentiated instruction to my students.
Your help will ensure that my students have a foundation of life skills and smiles on their faces.
