My Students
Our school community contains a diverse array of students whose backgrounds and needs are as unique as the families and cultures that proudly support them. We are a school community that is extremely rich in pride, strong in support, and filled with a passion to succeed.
As our school community continues to grow, our classroom continues to be a place where a high degree of emphasis is placed on engaging, innovative, meaningful, and relevant learning.
Each year, I am so proud of the maturity that my students develop when it comes to their learning and personal growth as young adults. It is truly a passion of mine to offer the supplies, resources, and technology that will allow my students to gain the knowledge as well as practice the skills needed for success in their future college and career journeys.

My Project
Virtual learning has been quite a shift in how schools traditionally operate. Among other necessities, the shift to virtual and/or hybrid learning has placed a great deal of emphasis on audio/visual/internet needs.
With the possibility of schools being shut down at a moment's notice, teachers can find themselves at home, teaching from an environment that is not conducive to virtual teaching due to demands on their personal Wi-Fi, and the demands on students as they learn from home can be exacerbated when they cannot hear a teacher clearly.
Having the microphone will help me be more clearly heard as my virtual students take part in live classes via Zoom but it is also important for Zoom recordings so that ALL of my students can hear me clearly when they listen to the recordings. The Wi-Fi booster will help me conduct Zoom classes when I find myself teaching from home and help me greatly in avoiding low bandwidth errors, etc. that can seriously disrupt the flow of teaching virtually. As an English language arts class, we depend upon discussions and readings, among other things, for our learning and if my students cannot hear me or my Zoom classes are dropped, it can cause great difficulties.
