Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

Every year I create a yearbook and memory books for my students that include tons on pictures of their accomplishments throughout the year such as their first day of school, birthday, reading and writing their first book as well as candid shots of them. I create small memory books by subject as well as a compilation of the events of the year. Even though I enjoy creating these wonderful memory books it gets very expensive to print all these color pages for 20 students year after year. The only materials I need are white quality paper, ink for the printer, a heavy duty stapler, a long reach stapler and staples. (I use my own camera and printer). For many students Kindergarten is their first year of school what better way to capture a milestone than by printing it out. By the end of kindergarten my students can write stories sometimes up to 6 pages, add and subtract, count to 100, tell time to the half hour, measure using rulers and learn about the water and life cycle. All these accomplish can be captured on film with just a few resources.
