My students need mailboxes. These mailboxes would keep everything organized, they are sturdy and will also benefit the classes that are to come! We are looking forward to having mailboxes in our classroom.
My students walk into our classroom every day full of life, ready to learn, and excited for what is in store for them that day. I teach at a Title I school in Sacramento, California where the majority of our students receive free breakfast and lunch. Many of my students come from single family homes, and have difficulties getting their basic needs meet. Despite so many hardships, my students are eager to learn and do their best. They want to be in school because they want to learn all they can so they can be successful one day. Everyday we I will say, "Hard word.." and they responds with "Pays off! From the minute they enter our classroom I focus on their potential and growth. A teacher may not be able to control their home lives, however, I can certainly control their experience during the school day. By doing this in a creative and positive way, I am hopeful to inspire even our earliest learners to continue on a path of academic excellence.
My Project
The children in my class need mailboxes and organizers. They currently have take home folders but nowhere to put them or the classwork they complete during the day. My students love school and and have pride in their work. They have many projects to take home each day and they need a place of their own to keep their work and other resources.
These mailboxes and organizers would keep everything neat and organized.
These mailbox organizers are sturdy and will also benefit the classes that are to come! We are looking forward to having mailboxes in our classroom so each student can have a place to call their own.
