My students need three large sets of read-alongs to create a library of books they can listen to on CD during reading center time.

My Students
Do you remember wanting to read books with words that were hard for you to sound out, but you just wanted to read it anyway? Many of my students face this problem every day. Ten of my nineteen students read below grade level and yet they crave the exciting stories they see others read.
I teach 19 students in the largest school district in Nevada.
We look like the United Nations when we walk down the hallway as a wide variety of nationalities is represented. We are a Title 1 school who has students who have been hard hit by the economic decline in our city.
My Project
I am requesting a library of books that have an accompanying CD. This will allow students to listen to a variety of stories allowing them to access a reading level far above where they are currently reading. Students will also improve fluency and expression when they listen to how a story should be read. My students love the listening center but we are short on materials. This means I am unable to offer the listening center every week and have to rotate it with other centers.
My students would be so grateful if they were provided a new library of books for the listening center.
It is my most popular center. Inspiring an excitement for reading will foster a love of reading that will follow my students the rest of their lives.
