Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
The students in my classroom this year are fifth graders that will benefit from access to a well-rounded curriculum.
Fifth graders at Vintage Magnet School come from a diverse background and along with that, they are able to offer their wealth of knowledge into the classroom discussions.
They are critical thinkers and thrive on the livelihood of their classroom. They enjoy taking ownership of their learning and look for challenges within the curriculum presented that will further their educational experiences.
My Project
These materials will definitely make an impact in our daily classroom life. Not only will the students gather here for small group lesson, they will also be able to enjoy this space when they have completed their work and are looking for a relaxing place to read. As our library has grown, the students usually take their books back to their seat. This carpet gives them the opportunity to take a break from their routine at their seats and snag a comfortable spot to immerse themselves into a good book.
