This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Project
Labs are crucial because they are hands-on, allow students to collaborate, and incorporate important skills such as problem-solving. Labs enable students to truly understand the content and create lasting connections to critical connections.
We want to give students more opportunities to engage in meaningful labs.
We would like to foster a love for science, develop critical thinking skills, and ignite interest in the field of science.
Students would benefit from hands-on experiences and develop their understanding of science concepts. The lab will serve as a hub for students to develop their love for all things science!
Our science labs need materials to run successfully. From the 3D printer to the marbles, the supplies will allow students to complete labs with all of the required materials.
Our goal is to give all 3rd-5th graders the unique opportunity to prepare for science district competitions. Last year, students were not able to prepare adequately for an egg drop competition because we did not have ladders. With the resources, we will have adequate materials to prepare for the competitions.
