Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Help my TK-2nd grade Autism class work on social and emotional regulatory skills. We are working on identifying our own feelings and those of others. A Little Spot of Feelings books and games would be another step in helping my class learn these important life skills.
We enjoy listening to the stories online but my students like to hold books and look at them over and over again.
These books would give my students up-close interaction with Little Spot on a regular basis. They would physically be present and available on a daily basis.
The games would help my students not only with regulatory skills but but help them to learn about each other and to make complete sentences. These would be used in small groups focusing on the students' abilities and needs.
