A Little Spot of SEL at Our School

My Project

We would like to teach the children about Social Emotional Learning by using the Spot series written by Diane Alber. During the 2022-23 school year, each month will be devoted to a different Social Emotional Learning topic. We have selected a Spot book to align to each month.

Next year, our school will adopt "Spot" as our SEL Mascot!

Social-Emotional Learning has become an integral part of our school community. We as educators, see the value and benefits of teaching SEL to all our students.

This project is for November: Mindfulness Month. A Little Peaceful Spot will be used for both our lower grade students and our upper grade students. We hope the children in our school will learn to be peaceful!
