My Project

Only a few years ago, students and teachers were sitting at home on their computers learning on Zoom. While our ability to continue to teach students was remarkable, nothing can replace the experience of school in person where students are interacting and learning with their peers everyday. Since being able to come back to in-person learning, students are struggling to effectively communicate and express their feelings to solve problems.

Help me give my students engaging social/emotional lessons to help them develop their interpersonal skills.

My students, all of which have a documented disability of Autism Spectrum Disorder, Emotional Impairments, or Cognitive Impairments, struggle with understanding emotions and how to cope with big ones. These books, timers, and mindfulness activities will help me to give my students strategies and practice with naming and coping with their emotions.
