My Project
I am creating a Zen Zone in my classroom. Think Calm corner, but since I didn't have an available corner space, I chose a window where I have created a low seating area for students. We use the Zones of Regulation in kindergarten, but I want to add another way that students can understand and express their emotions. This "Little Spot" program will be just the thing to implement in my classroom and add to our Zen Zone. Young children are still figuring out how to regulate their emotions and they need a lot of support from caring adults. I believe these additional materials will really help create a comforting environment for students to utilize in the classroom.
