This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
As we are getting closer to beginning a new school year, I am aware that things are still not "normal" for everyone just yet. We are still wearing masks at school and loved ones are still contracting COVID-19. Last year to help support my students' mental health through these trying times, I purchased sketch books for them, and I would love to continue this practice as a part of my back to school plan.
Sketchbooks help students express themselves in a personal way, and it promotes a healthy mind.
I love being able to provide a safe space for my students, and last year sketchbooks were one small thing that helped to do that. My upcoming students deserve the same!
