I absolutely love teaching little kindergartners! Their minds are still so sweet and innocent and they want to be loved. It is wonderful to hear a student talk about this being the best day ever after I have taught an exciting lesson!
I want each student to know that it's a new day and that they are safe and loved here in our classroom.
The best part of my day is greeting them in the morning as they come into my classroom. I love to watching their faces light up as each one comes in.

Organization is such an important life skill that isn't taught often enough.
Organization ties in so many kindergarten skills such as sorting, measurement and even reading. Having a place and spot for each item is so relieving not only for me, but also my students. At the beginning of the year, we spend a full week discussing and showing what the classroom items are and where their place is. It makes the rest of the school year wonderful to have a clean and organized classroom!
