My Students

As a teacher teaching in a low-income/high poverty school district, my students are faced with several challenges both in and out of the classroom. Despite the many challenges they may face, I am here to make learning and school one place they will always smile about.

My students are amazingly creative and very excited about learning.

They like to move, they love to read and love lots of positive attention. Many of them are being raised in single parent households and receive a free lunch based on their socioeconomic status. These things may prevent them from getting ahead early in life but will not stop them from loving to learn and "what to know" attitudes.

From the minute they walk in the door of my school I see creative and positive minds ready to explore and learn. I am glad they are excited to learn and I hope you will also be excited too to see what our future generation of learners have in store for our future.

My Project

My students will absolutely love the math and reading Games and tools that I have this project. The math and reading bots are going to be so awesome for them to work with. It is really important that they have tools for both math and reading. They are special ed students so they need a lot of hands-on activities to learn from.

My students are special needs so they have a hard time grasping numbers and also letter sounds.

This project will help them to work on the individually and as a small group. There’s also a SEL activity in this project and I think that would really help my students to understand their feelings.

It takes a village to get students and teachers what they need. With the pandemic and veg issues we need donors like you to help us out. Thank you so much!
