My Students

My students are diverse in many ways: they come from various ethnic, religious, cultural, and socio-economic backgrounds. Though they start with varying degrees of academic prowess, they are hard working, engaged, and generally enthusiastic about learning. My school is located in a town that has seen great changes over the past few decades. The area was, for a long time, mostly populated by ranchers. Today, after the addition of many housing projects, my classroom is filled with students who reflect the great diversity of the Bay Area.

My Project

The project for my classroom includes a number of "odds and ends" that will greatly improve the learning environment. The big ticket item for project is an iPad mini with a dongle and a sound bar. They will connect to my projector with ease and make for a streamlined presentation cart.

There are also various other electronic devices included in the project.

For example, a pencil sharpener, a stapler, and a paper shredder. Then, there are simple items like paper, labels, and writing utensils.

All these things (and more) will be used by the teacher and the students to complete work, identify items, dispose of private papers, and produce projects for display.
