it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
This summer I want my students to be able to have some reading material to take with them. Post-pandemic education (specifically reading) was very challenging. Students slid backwards when they were not attending school regularly. Many of my students had unique challenges at home due to equity and access to school - limited WIfi access, no access to electronic devices such as laptops or tablets to connect to daily lessons and responsibilities that kept them from fully engaging in daily content such as taking care of younger siblings because either one or both parents needed to work.
