This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students struggle so much with language and literacy skills. Sometimes it's a lack of exposure. There aren't many materials readily available for bilingual children, especially leveled books. This would greatly help my students to advance to higher levels. Each child has gifts, but sometimes a "little help" can be spread for light years! I intend to use the materials, for example, to teach my students how to better blend sounds into words; develop their vocabulary through familiar experiences shown in books, and demonstrate to my students the proudness of being bilingual.
Please consider each child as a shining star in the universe.
