This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are part of a 4th grade class in Utah. Our school is a STEM school that focuses on Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math. This year our School goals are focused on Literacy and Social Emotional Learning.

Our class is focusing on having a growth mindset and reaching many goals this year.

We help each other and celebrate others success, big and small. We have goals to read lots of books, and different genres. We have goals to become more fluent in math and become more fluent readers. We also have goals to do kind things for one another.

My Project

Covid-19 has impacted students in many different ways. This project has a products that will help my students in various facets of learning.

By donating to this project you will help me provide an education that focuses on engaging in self-discovery, goal setting, and working alongside others.

Our School wide goals are centered around Literacy and Social Emotional Learning. To help with these goals, we have started doing a lot of small groups. In these small groups one of my students favorite things to do is to play learning games. I am getting game pieces, and supplies (a paper cutter, and laminator) to help create high quality durable games. I have also included supplies to help organize these games so they are easily accessed by the students.

While some students are playing games, I am meeting with others and helping them with skills they need to work on. Having a small whiteboard will make this easier for me and my students.

I have also included art supplies to help students create and express themselves. Art is an important part of Social Emotional Learning. We can also use the laminator to preserve their art pieces.

Another way to create is through Legos. We will use Legos for STEM projects, models, as well as Fun Fridays.

Books that interest my students are also in this project. I love adding more books to our classroom library for students to get excited about.

Lastly I have also included stamps to help encourage students and let them know they are doing great!

My Students are great students and will benefit greatly from these supplies.
