My Project
It's that time of the year when my very small group of students is in need of replenished supplies to make it to June. In our attempt to bring worksheets to life, we also need new materials!
We gained an extra student and are in need of an additional wobble stool for flexible seating.
We secured a wonderful resource from Teachers pay Teachers and will use the Pop it's for worksheets on orthography which will help students visualize and mentally map sounds and words. To better assist students with phonological development, we will try the whisper phones seen in other classes.
The Sharpie Poster Markers will be used for more posters in the classroom. This beats writing posters in all black and will add just a bit of splash to our walls. By having colorful posters and stories of the week to practice fluency and automaticity, students will have ongoing opportunities to become effective readers. We want to provide the best support for all learners, no matter where they may be in reading acquisition. We can also bring math worksheets to life! The markers will help with distinguishing math symbols and math strategies!
Additional headphones are needed as the ones that have been provided are hard to fit my upper elementary group. We want to continue to have students use their classroom as one amazing resource and funding this project will assist with that goal.
