This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are currently in a specialized middle school for students with severe disabilities. They come in each day ready to learn. My students' abilities vary and they need certain supports in order for them to achieve their goals and gain independence.
With the use of the ink, students are able to have colorful differentiated worksheets and printed tasks to meet their needs.
This will help bring the teacher-created materials to life and help my students increase their comprehension.
The dry-erase makers will be used in the students' workstations to allow them to practice their ELA, math, and writing goals. In these workstations, students gather their own materials, such as the dry-erase makers, and complete work that is tailored to their needs. Without these markers, students will have difficulties completing these tasks which helps further their independence.
The chips and cookies will be used during snack time. My students often have a hard time regulating their emotions especially when they are hungry. Sometimes a little snack can help turn their whole mood around and help them get back on track.
