This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
We are a kindergarten ICT class, made of 40% special education students and 60% regular education students. Our class is special in that students have varying disabilities such as speech impairments, learning disabilities, and ADHD.
My class of 25 kindergartners has unique personalities and varying academic levels ranging from kindergarten to second grade.
My students are part of a larger school community of about 700 students. Compared to other schools in our area, we are much smaller. While our small size has a lot of pros, there are also many cons; one is the lack of space that our school has along with a smaller budget. While we try to use our budget wisely by providing a great number of resources for our students, we often do not have many of the things that we need to help all our students be successful.
My Project
My students have been working so hard lately, and we love to reward them with crafts! As the year goes on, we are slowly running out of certain supplies and need to replenish our supplies.
Crafts allow children to use their imagination and show their creative side!
Please help me give my students Cricut mats to replace the old ones, heavyweight construction paper to make our alphabet projects. We also need folders to use for our sight words and pencil holders so we can always find our pencil. Of course you can never have enough glue in a kindergarten classroom!
