This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
I am so honored to teach some of the most amazing fourth grade students in Calumet City, Illinois! My students are so eager and excited to learn new things. I want to ensure that my students receive the very best education. I strive daily to instill in each student the importance of being a lifelong learner. Also, it is my goal to provide them with the best opportunities and resources to enhance their educational experiences. Education is not preparation for life; education is life itself. “
-John Dewey
My Project
All teachers know that having great literature is essential to every classroom! It is often said that leaders are readers! To ensure my students are the very best readers and leaders they can be, we would love books for our classroom! These books will make a difference in our classroom because students will be exposed to so many wonderful books from different genres. My students will be able to explore biographies, graphic novels, classic novels, multicultural books, and so much more. I believe that through these books students will become better readers, learn to read for different purposes, and expand their minds.
