This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The students in my class present a speech/language disorder that interferes in their academic performance. Many of them present a verbal processing disorder and/or a communication disorder and listening activities take the most part of my intervention. I share a small room with another speech therapist and the use of amplifiers during listening activities distracts the other group in session.
A listening station will facilitate the students to get access to the material presented on visual media individually without the interference of the background noise.
The gift card from Teachers pay Teachers will be a great addition to increase my class library and get new materials prepared specifically for students with communication and language needs.
