A Light Box to Light Up Young Minds

Help me give my students a light box table for them to explore and have sensory experiences. Light boxes/tables are a big part of Reggio Emilia pre-school philosophy which I try to incorporate into my TK class.

My Project

My class is a special group of TK students who are either 4 or 5 years old. We do a lot of activities that are designed to inspire their young minds and develop a love of learning and school. Sensory activities are a big part of this! We use Play-Doh, kinetic sand, and sensory boxes to develop fine motor skills and give students a chance to make a discovery.

A light table would let us use existing toys in a new way.

Magne-tiles become glowing shapes. Tissue paper can be a color experiment. Light boxes help young learners look at things in a new way.
