I am excited to start a new year with my new second graders! Thinking ahead to the new school year I want to bring more books to our classroom library. I am anticipating a classroom or 22 excited second graders, ready to learn!
I want all my students to have the ability to access more books, than I have in my classroom library ,by offering them in digital form.
My students are on many different reading levels, come from a variety of different backgrounds, and all have unique interests and passions! I love watching my second graders learn new facts about things they enjoy. They often want to share their findings, which in turn leads to other students doing their own research. Seeing students reading books they choose is what it is all about!
My Project
My students have many different interests and it is very hard to keep my classroom library filled with all the texts they need to research their newest passions.
The 2 new I-Pads will give the children access to so many more book titles, encouraging them to continue their research.
I feel that giving children the freedom to read about subjects they enjoy and have a passion for keeps them excited about reading. I know that adding I-Pads to the classroom library will bring even more books into the hands of the students. I am excited to see what interests the students will research this year.
