My Project
Here at Lindblom we are so lucky to have a wonderful school library. However, that library is lost in a drab and desolate hallway. So, the students of the Mural Painting Colloquium have decided to make an amazing, original, and innovative mural to make our school library more seen, more exciting, and more welcoming!
The library mural will help revitalize our school and school community.
Lindblom has had a difficult couple of years with multiple changes in administration, a few years without a set principal, and significant teacher turnover -- all in the twilight of the COVID-19 Pandemic. This mural will help revitalize Lindblom as a place where students, teachers, and staff can all dream big and make amazing things happen!
The students in Mural Painting Colloquium have developed an amazing plan for this library mural. For starters, the mural will be on panels, not directly on the wall. Thanks to this idea, each student will have their own piece to add to the big puzzle that will be the mural. In doing so, each student will be able to add their own style and personality to the mural -- literally leaving their mark on their school! Additionally, some elements of the mural will be completed using paint markers as opposed to traditional paint and paintbrush. This makes the work on the mural more inclusive for students of varying abilities (the group working on the project ranges from 7th through 12th graders -- with a very broad range of art-making abilities). Please help us make this dream a reality for all the students involved!
